Website trust badge

A verified contractor badge for your website

A verified contractor badge is a button on a company's website that opens a record of its team members' compliance status: each person's name and trade or service, their background check expiry date, the date their prequalification was approved, and, where a compliance program requires them, their licences and insurance. The Entuitive Workforce verified contractor badge for websites shows those dates from your team's compliance record, so clients can review them on your homepage before the first call.

What a client sees after clicking the badge

The badge is labelled "Verified with Entuitive" and sits in the corner of your website. A click opens a Verified Employees panel on top of the page, showing each team member on your company account with:

  • name and trade or service
  • verified status
  • background check, with its expiry date
  • prequalification, with its approval date
  • licences and insurance, where your compliance program requires them

The panel has a search box, so a client can look up a team member by name or by service before a visit.

How do I show clients my team's background check status?

Put the dates where clients already look. A property owner choosing a maintenance contractor, a general contractor reviewing an approved-vendor list or a hospital procurement lead comparing service providers often opens your website before requesting compliance information. With the badge in place, they can review your team members' background check, prequalification and other compliance dates on that page, instead of reading a line saying your team is fully vetted.

Our compliance team reviews background checks and prequalification before they show as verified, and a renewed document shows its new date once our compliance team has approved it.

Do trust badges influence B2B purchasing decisions?

A trust seal on its own tells a procurement team that a company belongs to a program or holds an accreditation. What a B2B buyer reviews during vendor selection is more specific: who the people are, and the dates attached to their checks. A badge that opens those dates gives the buyer something concrete to review before the first meeting.

What changes for your company

Clients can review dates earlier

Compliance records are often requested during contract review. With the badge, clients can see your team members' dates before they make that request.

One place to point clients to

Instead of attaching documents to separate emails, you can direct clients to the same panel on your website.

Who it's for

  • Construction firms and trades applying to a general contractor's or owner's approved-vendor list.
  • Property management companies whose staff enter tenant units, and whose owners and boards ask who those people are.
  • Healthcare and home care providers sending staff into patients' homes or clinical spaces.
  • Facilities, cleaning and security companies working inside a client's building.

How do I check contractor workers before allowing site access?

At the gate or the front door, the check happens on site rather than on a website. With Tap n' Go digital badge verification, a contractor's compliance status is shown in one scan, and anyone can look up a badge by its number and the worker's last name.

What the badge does not do

The badge shows status for your team members. It does not certify a company for any particular client or site, and the decision about who gets hired, or who gets into a building, stays with your client.

How to add the badge to your website

  • In your Entuitive Workforce account, go to Setup > Employee Compliance Widget.
  • Create an API key: give it a name and list the website domains where the badge will appear.
  • Copy the code and ask your website developer to add it to your site. The widget documentation in your account explains where it goes.

FAQ

What is a verified contractor badge?

A verified contractor badge is a button on a company's website that opens a record of its team members' compliance status: name, trade or service, background check expiry date and prequalification approval date, plus licences and insurance where a compliance program requires them.

Do trust badges influence B2B purchasing decisions?

A trust seal shows membership or accreditation. A badge that opens dated records, such as background check expiry and prequalification approval dates, gives a B2B buyer specific information to review during vendor selection.

What happens after a renewed document is approved?

The panel shows the renewed document's new date once our compliance team has approved it.

Can a client look up one specific team member?

Yes. The search box in the Verified Employees panel finds team members by name or by service.

How do I add the badge to my website?

Create an API key in the Employee Compliance Widget section of your Entuitive Workforce account, then ask your website developer to add the code it gives you to your site.

Does the badge replace a client's own vendor review?

No. It shows the compliance status on record for your team members. The client still decides who to hire and who to let on site.
